Apple’s new iPad mini could hit the stores by November – well in time for the Christmas market – if the rumors about its forthcoming launch are correct.
The chatter amongst Apple watchers is that the eagerly-awaited new device will be launched on October 17 with the mini tablet hitting the shops two weeks later.
According to Forbes, the date of the launch – and the existence of the device – was confirmed by a “major Apple investor” who said he had heard the news from multiple sources.
The expected smaller, cheaper version of the iPad is often referred to as the iPad mini and the Forbes source said invitations to the launch would be going out on October 10.
As usual Apple is saying nothing about the launch until it is ready to do so.
Like the British Royal Family it has a policy of never responding to rumors.
