Welcome to our first weekly app guide. In this weekly article I will run through my top 5 applications for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Chrome and many other platforms for you to further indulge your digital lifestyle. In this weeks range of applications we have a simple, fast and beautiful Android launcher, a unique alarm app and a entirely new social app for Android.
ExDialer & Contacts For Android
ExDialer and Contacts are a Android application which introduces a little more style over the usual Android OS contacts application. The app offers a beautiful design; although, you could argue it looks a little unfinished but works extremely fluid and offers further functionality to the stock version of “Contacts”. The app has multiple themes and also enables you to view your contacts in groups or individually; you can also search for a contact if you have a large contact book. The app is free on Android and can be downloaded on the majority of devices; the fluid style, extra functionality and overall design makes this an essential Android application. (Install This App)
Smart Launcher For Android
Smart Launcher is a new application to my Android devices. I’ve used a variety of other launchers in the past but they have all lacked overall design elegance and slow down the overall power of your device. However, Smart Launcher is a free and paid for application on Android which offers a fluid and fast launcher with style. The launcher places your apps into categories for you to easy navigate to applications if it be social, utility or web based. However, it is the overall UI which makes this launcher the best on the market. (Install This App)
Note+ For Windows Phone
Note+ has recently received an update which integrates a variety of new features and under the hood improvements. The paid for application enables you to place a note on your Windows Phone start screen with a simply “pin”. The new version enables you to have your children’s notes separated from your own, this will stop them from seeing your birthday party notes. Its simple, cheap and easy to use and offers a utility which can come into use for you who have a busy lifestyle. (Install This App)
Vine For Android & iOS
Vine has been on iOS for a few months now and the social app gives you the ability to capture 6 seconds of video to then share with the world; and it really can get your creativity going. The app recently arrived on Android and offers all the functions its iOS counterpart also offers. While the app has crashed a few times and it can be hard to search for a user the overall experience of the app is great and some of the creative videos can waste hours of time; but it is enjoyable. It can be downloaded on both iOS and Android. (Install This App On iOS | Install This App On Android)
Wake Alarm For iOS
Wake Alarm is simplicity and functionality at its best. I love this app; you can slap the top of your device to make it snooze, flip the device to turn the alarm off and shake it to make it aware you are awake. The simple UI is also beautifully design and functional, you can easily set the alarms and control a variety of settings within the alarm app itself. You can set up to eight alarms at any time and set alarms to be set for multiple occasions. The app is only available on iOS at the moment, but I would love to see it come to Android.
